The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Supportive Services Program is a valuable and necessary resource to ensure the improved economic growth and future of firms owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in the state of Arkansas. Firms engaged in and/or interested in performing highway-related work that are certified as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) are eligible to receive business development, training, financing and bonding assistance, and through the DBE Support Services Program. ADBECA administers this program for Arkansas State Department of Transportation. ADBECA staff or private consultants provide program services to firms on an individual counseling basis as well as workshops and seminars. There is a plan and specification center available to DBEs, located at 1510 South Broadway, Little Rock, AR 72202. The hours of operation for the plans and specification center are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday- Friday, or is open special hours by request. Funding for the program is provided by the Federal Highway Administration, enabling all services to be provided at NO COST to qualifying DBE firms. Prior to receipt of any service, the firm must first complete a short intake form. The intake form can be completed by telephoning ADBECA STAFF or down load directly from this web site. ADBECA will then determine the firm’s eligibility and identify the specific area of assistance that will best meet the firm’s needs. |
